Posing Hints and Secrets to Help You Look and Feel Your Best! These tips will help you start feeling confident and comfortable even before you show up to your engagement session or your wedding day! SPEAK UP! The biggest secret... well more of a hint really, PLEASE TELL US WHAT YOU LIKE and if there is anything specific that you want! So many people are shy about telling their photographer "STUFF". The photographer is there to help, make things go smooth and capture the moments to help preserve memories. They can't do that the best way without you telling them about yourself; what you like, what you want, what photos are most important to you, and which is your best "side" for posing. OK well, we don't all have a side we need to be on in pictures, but some do. If your best feature is your butt, we will work with that too! hahahaha Be yourself and RELAX. Posing different from who you are, how you stand and how you act, doesn't always go well. Relax, be yourself (within reason... c'mon now... some people) and let the Photographer help you with the poses, where to stand and where to take the best pictures. That's what they do! Again, if you don't tell them your vision and ideas, even on the spot, as hard as we photographers try, we can't read minds... at least not yet. It is really important to feel good and comfortable during photography sessions. If you are one who hates getting your picture taken, believe me I have always been one of those, don't be worried about. I have learned that many photographers don't like to get their picture taken either (ironic isn't it?). If there are any days in your life that you feel self-conscience or worried about how you look, on your wedding day or during your engagement shoot shouldn't be one of them, cuz I can tell ya right now, you gonna look gooood! I used to be extremely shy and disliked a lot of things about myself (appearance wise). I was a DJ and had no choice but to deal with it and start to get over it. Slowly I became more confident and started to learn that even if I am in front of all these people, they really aren't judging me. If they are in anyway, that's on them, I won't know about it and I don't care. Soooo if you do have some "physical animosity" towards parts of your body or how you look in photos, let us know so we can work with you. To us, you are beautiful together... that's the point of all of this. To be you 2!
Have you Heard of Skinny Arm? For those who are not flattered with their arms, skinny arm is where you place your hand on your waist and keep your elbow bent at 90-degrees to make your arm appear as skinny as possible. It’s been around forever, but isn’t the only way to do it.
The trick is to not put your arm flat/tight against the side of your body. Even a slight gap can make a big difference, and there are plenty of options that look just as natural and flirty as the skinny arm!
Good Posture There’s a reason people take selfie pics from above and not below! Models don't take many pictures with their head down. We help you keep level (chin up, shoulders back!).
Show the Love We want to tell your story, and show the love you have for each other. Because that is what this is all about, right? We want to see and show your passion and trust for each other and make it fun and stress free along the way.
