A Little Info About Your Timeline...

First things first... if you want any help / advice on the entire timeline, schedule a time to chat with Dave.  he will be more than happy to help you out!

We build a custom, recommended Wedding Photography Timeline for every couple that hires us, but since we know that not everyone who reads these emails will be able to hire us, we wanted to share details about some of the essential shots at your wedding.

1. The First Look
The First Look is a quiet and intimate moment (typically) before the ceremony where the bride and groom see each other for the First Time in their Wedding Attire. The intimacy and privacy of this moment brings real, bright smiles to each partners face and makes for a very beautiful and historic moment.  We highly suggest doing this before the Ceremony so a majority of Wedding Party, Family Photos, etc. can be taken before the Ceremony.  Then you can relax a lot more after the Ceremony and ultimately enjoy the day a lot more! If you don't see each other before the weddings, so many photos will get missed and if you try to cram in too many after the Ceremony and it takes a couple hours, guests tend to get bored and will want to leave right after eating because they were already bored and tired.  I have seen this MANY times.  Wedding killer!

2. Family Photos
Your Wedding Day will go by fast, so we recommend keeping Family Photos to just your immediate family (siblings, parents, and grandparents).  If it is important to YOU to do more, that can certainly be done, but a majority of Bride's would tell you afterwards that the most important photos are of the wedding party and of the Bride and Groom.  So planning and spending more time as a couple and just doing immediate family is highly recommended, but we want to do what is most important to you.  It's your wedding day!

3. Bride and Groom Photos
Possibly the most important photos you may ever take... it is so important to take the time.  It is your day, not everyone else's.  All the planning and everything you will put together, you deserve to take it easy on your wedding day and immortalize how beautiful you two are on your big day.

4. Wedding Party Portraits
Whether you have just a Maid of Honor or 10 bridesmaids or ten, I'm sure they are very close and important people. So you should honor that with some fun wedding party portraits!  You and your crew will be looking your absolute best.

5. Detail Photos
I'm sure by now you know (or will very soon) how much time, energy and money goes into the little things at your wedding (all the Decor, place settings, and everything in-between),  you two will be so busy chatting and doing tasks that you won't have time to fully appreciate the details of the hard work you out into it. This is one of the reasons that photography is so important.  Capturing things you didn't get to see or may forget about.  Couples love seeing decor and candids more than anything else, and it really captures the moments they may have missed.
